it feels bad to see huge pile of trash on every spawn even tho they are decent weapons right now you can buy two handed sword for 3 gp and other really good items and u can get that much money pretty much 1h after starting on this ots

its fine right now but could be looked at in future
it will work as catch up mechanic for new players, and these items on the ground, are also a little reward for exploring deeper places.
At the moment some players are bringing some loot bags closer to the city for the noobs and announce it on world chat, as server owner it would be crazy to discourage that right?

seeing huge pile of trash is offputting when you are used to sell all of it, here its not a thing, and sometimes you open mob and just automatically drop the stuff on the floor for no reason xD

Tonight we're releasing a major update for the game.

Patch notes 15th January 2024

Features
  • Added new login messages that tells you about your account status
  • Added new login messages that tells you about house rent payment status
  • Changed the name of various different items (ex. emblem & stealth ring)
  • Remove the ability to change gold by rightclicking on stacks of 100
  • Changed the maximum death records from 5 to infinite
  • Removed auto-reconnect function

Iron coin
  • Can be bought from the website under gifts
  • Use to recieve 30 days of premium account
  • Costs 1 point which costs 5 euro.
  • Added a failsafe to prevent players from accidently using iron coins when they didn't want to.

Houses
  • Reworked the way house talkactions works, they are now spells that can be obtained ingame
  • New construction kits for some items

Map
  • Completely revamped the way Thais looks
  • Slightly revamped surroundings of Thais and sewers
  • Added 38 houses

Balance
  • Monk life drain abilities deals slightly less damage
  • Claxton is now the mayor of Thais.
  • Increased the food ticks limit to 1 hour (Buff to stomachs)

Bugs
  • Minimal resistance (1%) will now correctly reduce damage taken by 1
  • Chatting will now correctly not reset the idle timer
  • Completely changed the way pick holes work, they should now correctly decay to the correct tile
  • Trinkets should now correctly work against players

NPCs
  • Will now correctly display their messages to everyone around them (queue system remains unchanged)
  • Added Gamon (Sells furniture)
  • Added Gorn (Sells basic equipment)
  • Added Siegfried (Sells unique premium outfits) (located in the Thais castle)
  • Added Quentin (Teaches new players about fundamentals of the game)
  • Added Suzy (Banker for easier handling of gold, also used for house rent)
  • New trigger replies for Drunk Dwarf
  • Added some basic voicelines to some npcs.

And it didn’t take long for you guys to start milking wallets on the server. The server is no longer free to play. It was funny too see an OT be a free one, but as with everything now selling premium and soon other things as-well.. I guess you guys couldn’t resist. But it’s been fun to listen to breadward on stream shit on other servers for taking money from players, while he white horse himself as “iron core it’s a completely free server to play”, and now your selling premium.

Will be fun to see what’s next in the shop, since you took the step already…

Only thing premium does is gives you access to buy house spell and trading for unique outfits. All content still available for free. Do you judge everyone by what they could "potentially" do? We've been talking on stream about potentially adding something like this for awhile now, not sure how much you follow Breadward. As the cost is 5 euro for 30 days of premium, which is probably the cheapest you'll find. I don't see a problem with this. You can read what I wrote in the original post, I cannot edit the original post.

Just saying, it starts with this and you start making little bit of money more will follow “only deco” etc. not saying this is bad thing but how you’ve been promoting this server on stream for months now over and over “ you don’t have to pay anything “ and now you can buy premium meanwhile trash talking other OTS for making money and here we are ..

nah, bread said many times if they will find a way to monetize the server in a friendly way and how players want then they'll do it

also many people just got bored of the server and from around 100 online its down to 50 from which many are just afk skilling, so if the playerbase that actually plays is fine with that, what is the problem there? its not like there is 500 people and 80% of them didn't want it. many people wanted to donate in form of saying thank you for fun they had but couldn't, now they can

  • Added the ability to turn off different fighting styles in client options.
  • Added the ability to see the growth% directly in the skills panel through client options
  • Added the ability to turn off max health in client options.
  • Added the ability to see your regeneration timer as a hunger bar.
  • Added 2 new item slots (runes & distance) (both remains unused for now)
  • Added back soul points (remains unused for now)
  • Changed the chat history message to 2500 from 500 (untested)
  • Forced the tooltip to go on the left side of the mouse cursor instead of being under the mouse cursor in some cases where your cursor is very large.
  • Added the conditions box the character panel.

Very nice server, slow paced.
Frequent updates with lil power greeps - always something to wait for.
Recommended.
